With over four decades of experience at the forefront of the automotive industry, Andrew is the driving force behind Ruellans Garage. His vision has transformed the business into Jersey’s premier independent specialist for German marques and Electric Vehicles.

Andrew’s commitment to excellence is nationally recognised; in 2024, he was crowned the UK Top Technician winner, an elite accolade that marks him as one of the finest diagnostic experts in the British Isles. However, his expertise extends far beyond the workshop floor. Holding a Master’s degree in Leadership from Loughborough University, Andrew combines high-level strategic thinking with technical precision.

When he isn’t leading the team at Ruellans, Andrew serves as a key voice for the local industry. As a long-standing representative of the Jersey Motor Trades Federation, he advises on green initiatives, EV grants, training and the future of the island’s transport policy.

“My goal has always been to bring ‘Main Dealer’ technology and standards to a local, family-run environment. At Ruellans, we don’t just fix cars; we invest in the future of Jersey’s motoring.”

For Hugo, the role is about far more than logistics; it is about high-level problem-solving. In a specialised workshop, sourcing the correct high-specification components for German marques requires a deep technical understanding of manufacturer standards. Hugo’s decades of experience mean he anticipates our technicians’ needs before a vehicle even enters the bay, ensuring we maintain our reputation for precision and minimal downtime.

Outside of the workshop, Hugo’s focus shifts to his young family. He credits the “wonderful chaos” and laughter of family life for keeping him grounded and energised, bringing that same positive, solution-oriented mindset to the Ruellans team every morning.
